Meet Our Staff
A cornerstone of our philosophy is to provide training and employment opportunities for talented Red Hook residents. Currently over 95% of our employees live in the Red Hook Houses. In addition to providing livable wage jobs in a community known for a lack of job opportunities, we are teaching residents how to design their own programs and provide services to their neighbors, families and friends. Our long-term goal is that 100 percent of the Red Hook Initiative employees will be from the neighborhood.
